The Crisis We Can’t Ignore
In India, every third child suffers from chronic undernourishment, and one in five is acutely malnourished. These alarming statistics highlight a grim reality where millions of children are deprived of the essential food, nutrients, and healthcare needed to thrive.
According to findings from the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5), as reported by the National Library of Medicine:

39-75% of children are underweight across various regions.

A significant 15.4-74% of children suffer from stunting, which impacts their physical and cognitive development.

10.6-42.3% of children are wasted, meaning they have low weight for their height, an indicator of acute malnutrition.
We are a Bengaluru-based NGO that feeds children who face hunger and malnutrition. At Kalpaka, we don’t just offer meals; we provide hope, opportunity, and a future. Together, we can create a world where every child has the energy to dream, the strength to learn, and the health to thrive.
At Kalpaka, our mission goes beyond feeding hungry children. Your donation allows us to provide:
Every meal contributes to restoring health, building strength, and fueling bright minds.
Protecting children from life-threatening diseases so they can thrive.
When you donate, you’re not just giving food—you’re giving a child the chance to lead a healthy, stable life.
Together, small acts of kindness can make a significant difference. Your donation is also eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G.
